According to the "people finder" on Auburn's website, AU President Jay Gogue, PhD's email is as follows:
gjg0002@auburn.edu
I would also copy the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn, Joe Aistrup, PhD at:
jaa0025@auburn.edu The info I gave above is straight off the president's resume, publicly posted on their website.

We had Updyke,y'all have Goldberg. (Too soon?)
The 21 foot rule is absolutely real and untrained folks would be shocked at how fast a brokedown decrepit fat man can stabify you with a blade. Just want to share a short little story here. Back in the day, NRA used to have multitudes of different traing classes for members. All kinds of disciplines had classes from air-gun to shotgun to hunting and target rifle to handguns. Man, this HAD to be back in th early-mid 80’s when I attended a sub-gun training class. I had been invited personally from some NRA Wheel because I had just become what a Beneficiary is called now, and I was still a young buck, and had a pre-86 MP-5A1. Upon registering for the class, we were told to bring our weapons, our genuine invitation that we had received in the mail, and ONLY 400 rds. of BALL ammo. WTF? This was sub-gun school, so no weapons that fired anything larger than pistol cartridges were there. As I recall, the first 2 1/2 days were spent in-classroom. The final morning to mid afternoon was range-time. The targets were 15 yds, doubletap, 10 yds doubletap, 7 YDS, a double 3-5 RD BURST FIRE, (no “ratchet” sears or selector position) much back then), 5 yds doubletap 3 yds doubletap, 1 yd doubletap. If you could halfway keep count, that would leave about ten or so left in your mag if you didn’t hose the 7 yard station down like a nut. The remainder of the mag (the only one you should have had on you) was handed to the rangemaster when you got out of the shoot-house, the weapon was 3 times cleared manually, visually, mechanically (ball point pen), and empty weapon discharged or dry fired out in the sand bucket. These were some NRA Sorta-Wheels and FBI field grunts who knew their trade, running the seminar. I found out about the 7 yard doctrine in a very surprising book lesson that first day. Never even heard of it before. At 7 yards, a threat can close on you (run at) and that’s the last effective chance to shred the subject approaching your defensive position. If the threat is on top of you, eyeballs and breath, single hits point blank are best, plus a single shot at a time can be made as long as a finger works. Keep firing to empty the weapon to deny the opponent the opportunity of grabbing it and having a well full of ammo in the weapon. I said all that to say train for 7 as your go-no go decision, mind made up and locked from thinking any more about it. That was what a lot of the classroom stuff was. Committing. But you’ll get your ass sued off anyway and lose unless YOURS is the ONLY testimony. And no, i’m not a SEAL, RANGER, MOH Recipient, COP, DOUBLE-NAUGHT SPY or even a security guard.

When I trained for uncle sam we shot them in the head 2 or 3 times as we wnt by. We would have been in the brig nowadays. The only thing I miss is the budget being picked up by someone else. Only heard yhe 21 feets thing long after I was laying bricks. I still don't use that as a hard barrier distance - the dumb ones may save themselves with me a little closer if they have non brain fart day - idk. The smart ones - 30 feet. And shoot them in the head instead of the knee.

I sent a follow up email from the first incident to Dr. Gogue this morning. If something isn’t done to solve this particular problem (Jesse Goldberg) permanently, I think the issue needs to be highlighted to our political representatives all the way up to Aunt Bee. Also, they need to rewrite the Auburn Creed. They would have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they don’t prescribe to it any longer.
The Auburn Creed I believe that this is a practical world and that I can count only on what I earn. Therefore, I believe in work, hard work.
I believe in education, which gives me the knowledge to work wisely and trains my mind and my hands to work skillfully.
I believe in honesty and truthfulness, without which I cannot win the respect and confidence of my fellow men.
I believe in a sound mind, in a sound body and a spirit that is not afraid, and in clean sports that develop these qualities.
I believe in obedience to law because it protects the rights of all.
I believe in the human touch, which cultivates sympathy with my fellow men and mutual helpfulness and brings happiness for all.
I believe in my Country, because it is a land of freedom and because it is my own home, and that I can best serve that country by "doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my God."
And because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it.
-George Petrie (1943)

If I voice my opinion I am labelled as a racist and hate monger. I'm tired of being the "silent" majority. Good for you and amen.

Joe, Thank you for your email regarding Jesse Goldberg’s comments on social media. We are grateful for your continued support of Auburn University. Your concerns are shared by many members of the Auburn Family, and please know that we are listening. Like you, we find Mr. Goldberg’s comments simply inexcusable. They are in complete opposition to the values of the Auburn Creed. While we support the role freedom of expression and ideas has in higher education, we have not and will never support views that disrespect or exclude others, including hateful speech that degrades law enforcement professionals. We are working diligently to assess this situation and ensure that Auburn remains a campus where mutual respect and understanding is paramount. Best regards, Hayley Harris

Joe, We are working diligently to assess this situation and ensure that Auburn remains a campus where mutual respect and understanding is paramount. Best regards, Hayley Harris No need to "work diligently". The solution is very simple.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

The guy probably signed a contract back in May for a year starting in August. They will limit his teaching to introductory classes for the year and by May he will be gone because they will not renew his contract. If they fire him over his remarks and actions then he could turn around and sue on the basis of free speech but they do not have to renew his contract once it is complete.

AU rushing to be like the rest of what is wrong with some Americans...NBA, MLB, NFL.

Well, that would be nice to get contracts that early. Sitting here east of you and start date is tomorrow and no contracts have been sent out yet for any faculty. Never are until July.
