Besides a pressure washer, what is the best stuff to just spray on. With all this rain I’m starting to get some green algae growing on my privacy fence boards. I really don’t want to use bleach if I don’t have too. I used Wet and Forget with mixed results.

I can’t use Clorox, the deer would eat my fence down to the ground.

Mix dish washing liquid with bleech. Spry it on and let it sit 5 mins. Repeat if needed. The dish washing liquid keeps the mix from evaporating before it can work. I put it on witheither a bruch or paint roller on a pole. Been using this for 40 yrs. It's cheap and works.

Damn rich folks in here. Jomax is about $20 per gallon.
What are your concerns about bleach?

It can be pretty rough on wood if you don’t rinse it. And I’m not rinsing because I can’t get a hose all the way around it.

Bleach bleaches mildew. I bought some true 35% Hydrogen Peroxide and it killed black mold in dad’s house (closet on outside wall). Used a 2 galoon sprayer and gloves, goggles.

BTW, Amazon will only allow 12.5% to be sold on their site, not sure why, but I bought mine from a chemical supply house in Tempe AZ and Fedexed it here. If you want to thin it back down to grocery store strength, seems like it takes 11.5 parts water to 1 part HP.

I’ll find a link or invoice if you need one.

This bleach does not kill mold or mildew but 35% HP will put the hurt on it.

Actually it can/will kill mold or mildew, it's just not made for porous surfaces (right on the bottle) but goodluck finding peroxide, unless it's changed in the last month they had limits on the amount you could purchase, and Amazon was higher than Giraffe Cooter. My buddy (who is a taxidermist) has been behind on his European Mounts because of that.....

As I said, Amazon won’t sell higher concentrate than 12.5 %. Not sure why. They advertise 12.5% solution cut down from genuine 35%solution , as if that means anything. It had to be cut from SOMETHING, right?

The supply house I bought from sells genuine 35% UNCUT, shipped through Fedex, and yes it’s high. And you HAVE to store it OUT of the light, so I double black-bagged the gallons and taped the box back shut because it will deteriorate in light. That’s why the drugstore stuff comes in brown opaque bottles, I guess.

I bought it when the CV-19 crap started to use for clothes bleach instead of Clorox, which was going out of sight, too, plus Dad had the mold thing going on. This was in February when the talk started about the Kung-Flu.

I’ll text you a photo of the gallons I ordered tomorrow after my clinic if you like and the label has all the info, distributor, etc., so your buddy can buy some. I got an e-mail from them and said HP-35 was back in stock from THAT vendor.

Yeah I'm not doubting it, i know it's good stuff, just it's been hard to purchase because of all the virus crap. People were (may have changed I'll have to ask) only allowed to purchase ONE bottle of peroxide from Walmart (and other stores) i know as of last week my buddy still wasn't able to get his hands on enough...
