Moultrie now has a $120 cell camera on the market, the XA or XV6000 camera. I said I would never buy another Moultrie camera but at this price I did to put on public land and not worry about a big investment.
Has anyone tried these yet and can give a review?

I used the xv 7000i last year and didn’t have any issues.

Probably pretty good. I just catch the spypoints on sale for$99 and buy them. I've had good luck so far.

I like my 7000. I wound up getting it a good bit cheaper than that last year. Wander what the differbetween the two is?

There was a Moultrie rep on Rick & Bubba that said they now have a map feature so you could drop a pin and always know where the camera were. I don't know if this means they are GPS capable or not. I'll find out when I get them.
I used the Rick & Bubba coupon on the ones I ordered and got the price down to $100ea.

I think that's new with the app. I don't think they have a gps feature.

Correct, you can mark them in the app, but the camera is not GPS enabled. Moultrie Mobile has also recently released new monthly and annual plans.

megapixels and a couple things that don't matter. Pictures look just as good to me.

Best part to me about Moultrie is the warranty. It's 2yrs but if you register within 60days you get a 3rd year of coverage. I have TOO many cams to buy the really good cell cams so, I get these.
I put out a XV 6000 today. My xv7000 from last years had zero issues. I also like that they don't have an external antenna for the elk to break.

I decided to try the new Tactacam Reveal at $99 at Cabela’s and BPS and data plans starting at $5 a month. I think it’s cheaper if you prepay whole year. After hearing bad things about Spypoint and having horrible experiences and service from Moultrie with their trail cams and feeders, I decided to try this. Good use of gift cards. We’ll see if they’re good or not but I refuse to pay more than a hundred bucks for something that breaks in a couple of years or $500 and more for a High falutin Reconyx camera they only warranty for 3 years.

Not to derail, but be cautious with Spy Point they are having an upgrade to the app this week. There have been some serious issues with the transmission of photos for two weeks hopefully the upgrade will correct this

I have 5 xv7000i For a year and never had an issue that was due to the camera. Once had battery drain quickly as it faced the sun. Another time just had zero cell coverage. Both were my fault. Highly recommend for the price. Getting pics throughout the day is my new “social media” since I deleted all of that a few years ago. Much more wholesome ha

Forgot when someone mentioned differences, 6k don't do time lapse.

I wondered what was going on. I would get notifications of new photos but could not view them on the app. Started working again and then stopped once more. It's going on 4 days now that it has worked as it should so maybe the rough patch is over.

I just ordered the 6k out of curiosity to compare to the Spypoint. Should be in Friday. I'll set it up over the coming weekend.

I had the spy point link evo year before last and had a terrible experience with it. I didn’t receive one picture for like 2 months because of the issues they where having. Paid $250 for that POS camera.
