awesome deer! man he has to feel horrible. bet he wishes he had an automatic, but i suppose that is why they have a chance to get that big there. tons of ag and not very long rifle seasons. i am suprised bama even has 140 deer with how many days you got to blast 2.5-3 year olds. imagine if it was all bow and only 2 weeks with a gun here. could you imagine the diff size of antler that would be around! I think you would see a general increase in size but unless you were hunting a place near a major drainage there would not be a huge increase in size. Our soils are just not as productive as the midwest. Not saying it's impossible to grow big deer here, it's just easier on midwest soils.
"Cull" is just another four letter word...
