Im fighting with my spypoints again right now. Theyre ok, just ok, when theyre working right. Every now and then they go retarted.

ill through a vote out for Moultrie. I haven't had any trouble out of my xv7000i's. Only negative is that the picture quality isn't impressive. Its fine but not impressive. They just released a newer "price point" model thats $120 before a plan. IF they are as good as the ones I already have it would definitely be a good buy IMO

I’ve got a Spartan and love it. If you’re looking for something cheaper to try, tactacam has a new one called Reveal. It’s $99. Unlimited plans are $13/ month and start and stop whenever. I ordered one to try from herd360.com. He usually has good deals on Spartans too.

It picks up better than phone with that antenna, so if your phone works at least a little should be fine. Use the energizer lithium batteries. If it’s over corn set delay to at least 1 min, think I do 2 min. I just activate and pay for mine thru Spartan, but you can add them on to verizon plan for like $5 a month then need to pay $2 to Spartan for premium to use the app. Or think you can just have pics emailed for no fee but miss all features of the app. think I have 7 of them.

Also use rechargeable AA batteries and hook with 6v/12v converter to a 12v feeder battery. I get 13-14k pics on a battery that way. I change a battery every 3-4 months with this setup. I can text you details EHH if you want.

laugh must be a Mississippi thing. I was about to ask the same question. Maybe not zero service, but low.

This was my main reason for being hesitant. I’m back hunting in Mississippi and cell phone coverage ain’t worth a damn.

Like Matt said, the batteries in the Spartan last a while. I think I got 6 months or so continuous running. I have 2 old Covert that I never could get to work as cellular cameras but they were used and out of date. No experience with the Moultries lately. I have set on call waiting with them before until my phone was hot. I haven’t had any regrets with my Spartan.

Go one further and combine that with a solar panel and you won’t have to touch it even that often.
