Or as I call it “A little bit of hell on earth”.Who else gets to have this kinda fun. For me every two years it’s 3 10- hour days of listening to a guy talking about crap that has absolutely zero relevance to what I actually do.Literally not one word of this 30 hours of “education” is of any benefit to me. The only bright side is the only real requirement is for my ass to be in the seat so I can work, check up on Aldeer and best of all sleep. I am averaging about 2 hours of naps a day. Nine more hours and I am a free man

And there’s always one guy who keeps asking questions that are irrelevant and make the thing last an extra hour.

Appraisal license renewal.I can tell you guys have been here. The front row sitting question asking instructor fan boys crack me up.I bring my most comfortable folding camp chair put it on the back wall and spend 30 hours reading, cruising the internet and sleeping. Actually wish there was something interesting or helpful to me being discussed because time would go by faster but no luck.

I have always wondered if that guy ever questions why nobody asks him to go hang out and get a beer afterwards?

I'm the odd man out because I didn't mind CE and enjoyed the out of town trips to get it. Now that was before I had kids....who am I kidding I'd really enjoy it now. Food, making friends, and some learning. ...maybe some beach or lake time.

The joy of the CE webinar. Some of my insurance CE classes are bad. The MAPD/PDP recertifications each year will potentially drive some folks nuts depending on how many carriers you contract with. Others are ok if the instructor is good. A necessary evil to keep a license or certification. rofl

It was the testimonials that killed me. "What I/we do........" i do not miss that at all. My conversations at work are now " You want to buy that? I need your license. Have you ever filled out one of these before?" That's it.

I got lucky this year on mine.the slow down at work I was able to do CE's during work day without traveling all over country for seminars.some years if not able to travel enough to events I'll have to do online test and quizzes which really sucks.it takes 2-3 hours a day for about 2 weeks at home.fun fun.luckily my work pays for my certification renewal every year

I was hoping that I could weasel out my “annual development class” this year, but my boss told me last week that I need to find an online course to attend... anyone got any suggestions??? I figured I’d just find something that requires no interaction so I could just login and go do something actually productive..

My wife is in healthcare and has to have several hours a year. Fortunately they sometimes offer it in tropical destinations. Went and did them at St. Kitts this year and I tagged along to make sure everything was on the level. The snorkeling and pina coladas checked out fine.

15 hours per year. I get to pick the topics (within my profession) and theres a good many out there to choose from. That said, very few actually increase my knowledge of the subject.

When I was working I had a friend in the FBI, he was in charge of training. He would send me to various FBI schools such as Hostage Negotiation, Urban Sniper, Etc. Some of these were 3-5 days long, FBI paid for everything. I had enough CEs for 40 years.....

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
