My CEA marker on my last blood test dropped from a 477 to a 398 in my last blood test this week. That is confirmation that the chemo is working as it is suppose to. Not out of the woods 100% by any means, but I can buy a green banana and feel better about it. They will test again on the 13th. Feeling better, but chemo sucks..

That’s so good to hear. I’ve never met you and do not know you other than on this forum, but you have entered my thoughts often. Hang in there.

Good news. I’m glad to hear that. I’m actually looking forward to getting the radiation and chemo started. I know it isn’t going to be easy. I’ve had a helluva run just getting prepared for it. The first feeding tube was put in on Thursday and I got infected on Monday the doc admitted me in the hospital. This time he took out the original and cut me from sternum to below my belly button. I stayed in the hospital a week. I came back home and went for another follow up last Wednesday and he didn’t like the way the original tube hole was healing so he put me back in the hospital and cut me again and now I’m connected to a wound vac 24/7. Now I’ve got to get this healed to get on to the next phase. I’m suppose to already be going into the second week of radiation and chemo. I know it sounds stupid saying I’m looking forward to because what it involves but I just want to get this behind me. I know it’s thrown a wrinkle in my staying positive but I’m still trying to remain that way. I know 7 1/2 weeks of radiation and chemo will be tough but I think I can handle it as soon as I get past this. Stay positive and don’t quit fighting.
