I've never been impressed with the Muffalettas at Central Grocery in New Orleans. I had better at Chub Father's in Alabaster and probably one of the best ones at Tre Ragassi in Glenco. Since we were at none of those places last night we made our own out of what we had. We started with some French rolls, put mustard on the bottom side. (I like whole grain and she likes the yellow stuff.) Added smoked ham, salami and pepperoni Added Boscoli Olive salad to the other side with some of the olive oil to coat the bread Then added some Provolone cheese I like to then take them and put them under the broiler for a few minutes to heat everything up and melt the cheese a little. I could have eaten my weight in them last night. Good Wednesday night eats. Not my typical fancy food pics, but it was damn good.

Where did you get the olive salad at? They actually had it at the Ft. Payne Walmart.

Add a generous amount of Boscoli if you like a Caesar Salad with some bite. Not a bad idea.

Next time you’re through Starkville or Ole Miss (think they still have one there) go to Oby’s and get one. I agree on Central Grocery..good to have the OG, but others have taken their inspiration and improved on it...Oby’s is one!
experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....
