Don’t know about the rest of y’all, but I think I will do some searching and reading to brush up on the laws in Alabama concerning protecting ones self. Particularly regarding gangs blocking roads and beating on/trying to open cars.
It may not do any good having the law on your side due to politics nowadays, but it sure can’t hurt.

Step 1: if you have to do something to protect/defend yourself, make sure there is only one version of the story
Step 2: Do not make a statement or answer any questions without your lawyer present
Step 3: avoid step 1 and step 2 at all costs and if avoidance is impossible...see step 1
*The castle doctrine extends to vehicles in AL so if you’re in your vehicle and being attacked or attempts being made to forcibly remove you from the vehicle you are well within your rights to protect yourself

I do have to admit though, watching some of these videos of folks getting their windows bashed and hoods beaten, I’m shocked nobody has fired at a single one of the folks doing it.
