There is a fan speed resistor down in the housing below the glove box. Probably a pain to get at for big guys but this is what fixed mine. The actual problem is the size of the wire going to one of the big pin connectors. That pin/female connector will be burned. You need a new, updated 2019 style pigtail with new style connector to replace the old one and most likely a new resistor. Cut the old pigtail off and splice on the new one via the color code provided below. You won't have any more trouble. IF you go back with the same connector that's on there now, you will eventually go through this again. Been there. I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction.
