Wanting to put a metal roof on my house and I can't seem to get a contractor to even give me a price. I've talked to four different guys in the past couple of weeks and made appointments with each of them to be at my house at a certain time to give me a quote and none of them have showed up. If any of you know a dependable contractor in the Covington County area please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I don’t know anybody down there in God’s Country but call your local sheet metal supplier and ask who they’d recommend. Having said that Roofers have been wide open since April.

Back when we were needing some dozer work done, we had three different guys come out and say they would do it and none of them ever showed up. It was pretty aggravating. I guess the job just wasn't big enough to be worth the hassle, but folks who are in a service industry should just tell people that they are too busy or that the job is smaller than they normally do and would have to charge a minimum amount and then let those folks decide if it is worth paying that price. But, for all that used to be right in this world, they should at least give a call back.

Just got off the phone with two more contractors....one of them said he would be here tomorrow afternoon and the other said he would be here Friday afternoon. We shall see.

My experience with roofers is if you want a dependable roofer, Pick one or the other. Dependable or Roofer.

I had a piece of flashing that got pulled by the wind a few months back. Steeeep roof pitch and really didn’t wanna get up there called 3 folks two never returned my call 1 no show. The no show called back couple weeks later asked if I was ready, “ no pal it’s already taken care of “ My BIL does contractor work a constantly griping about not being able to find good help.

If most of the white crackers would go to work it wouldnt be that way... can’t get most black or white folk to show up to work, especially when they show up long enough to get paid

Someone could make a fortune in the construction business if they would just show up or at least call back. Amazing what thr consumers will put up with from a contractor.

We got some good ones around here. But, they are career roofers. They gone by lunch to get in a natty pack. I kinda envy them lol
