Who makes a good gas powered one that goes on a work truck...something that'll power 3/4 inch impact for big machines

I’ve used several brands cheap stuff to top shelf top two in my opinion in both reliability and functionality would be IR or Quincy. You really need a lot of volume to run big stuff and gas stuff normally means small tanks so you need a engine and compressor that’ll keep up. Nowadays we outfit all our service tucks with hydraulic driven screw or “rotary” compressors and I’ve yet to find an air tool that they wouldn’t run at 100% duty cycle.

Not sure how often you're working on big stuff but what about going a different direction?
No air hose to trip on, no gas motor that will need servicing from gummed up carbs, no moisture in the tool.

7.5 cfm average free air @ 90 psi for .75 impact. hose size is essential for volume. IR and Quincy are industry standards.

Edited to say that Milwaukee makes a fine impact battery power as others said. The only time I don't use one is having to multiply torque and I work on some big stuff.

Makes sense. Just figured I would toss out an alternate idea.

Pure BS. They don't hold up to everyday use.

Bar270, do you have any experience with a service truck or 3/4 impact? LOL. If you don’t mind, would you inform Perch of what you do for a living? Since I already know I’ll just sit over here and be quiet.

I can tell u from experience the harbor freight gas compressor will run with any gas compressor with a 30 gallon tank u can buy and I could probably send u a video of one that is about 3 years old and never had anything done to it ... and I will say that is the only thing harbor freight sells that is any good
