Looking to rent a dozer for putting in a 400yd driveway between Ashville and Gadsden. I’ve already cut it in and done a little initial grading with my mini excavator. I want to get the grade and crown right with a dozer before I spread gravel.
I know I would be better to hire it out, but that’s not as fun.

Find one with a dozer tyoe blade...we are gonna get that attachment very soon

Might not be a bad idea to get some numbers of good operators for after you completely screw it up if you don't know what you're doing on a bulldozer.

I know a dozer is different, but I've been running semi-heavy equipment for years (Tractors, skid steers, mini-ex, etc.)

You really need a motor grader if you want a good road to be crowned, ditched and smooth.
Not writing a dozer will not do the job, but, if you can afford it, and want it done correctly and to the best it can be, in my opinion, you'll be better off with a motor grader.
The only thing a dozer will do better at is pushing the turn outs, as the front wheels of a motor grader will only go so in the turn outs with the blade being behind them.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction.
