Owns a fitness gym. Even with opening back up in May, nobody joins a gym in May. Most of his customers join in January and aren't going to back after laying out for over a month.

I hate it for him. Sad to see someone pour their heart and soul into a business and the government kill it.

I think places where people can socialize face to face will see a big uptick as soon as the iron curtain is lifted.

My brother opened a gym in Auburn in January. Talk about bad timing. Luckily he doesn’t have much over head, and has supplemented his income with online training, and work out plans. Hopefully they get opened back up soon, and the work out freak type people that he had as members will be back. These guys work out like a lot of us fish or hunt. It’s there life passion. Ain’t no silly virus gonna keep them out of the gym once they’re legally allowed to return. I haven't been to his gym but I'm pretty sure his gym focuses on the hardcore gym rat, Joe consumer isn't his client base I don't think I would imagine the join in January I want to lose weight crowd won't be going back to the gym anytime soon. https://www.businessinsider.com/24-hour-fitness-considers-bankruptcy-cnbc-report-2020-4Right now work out gear is completely sold out online and on the 2nd hand market(craigslist/FB etc) prices are super inflated

For the sake of all these small business owners and mom and pop restaurants, I certainly hope you guys are right about there being a surge in business once the lockdown is lifted. If there is not, a very high percentage will go out of business within 90-120 days.

Food trucks are kicking ass in places where they are allowed to operate. People want to get back out and get back to normal. News has traveled fast that this is a manageable disease, like any other.

We have a different food truck come to our subdivision M-F. Pre-order and they pull up at your address and call you. Today is Nothing but Noodles.

While I might be prone to be willing to order online a lot of things (preferably made in America), I do still prefer going into a brick and mortar store to try on clothes before purchase. I, also, prefer going out to eat at a restaurant where a waiter comes to the table, takes the order, brings the food out and then someone else does all the clean up as opposed to take out or drive-thru. But, I will probably be way pickier about that for awhile after things open back up just to see how things go with the new food handling guidelines.
I think most humans are still social beings and enjoy the interactions of other people in person which definitely gets lost with all the convenience of online business dealings.

One my closest friends just open his yesterday. Salt and Light. It is parked at the Vision on Bailey Cove. The brunch burger is to die for. Chris the chef came from Valley Hill Country Club. Ole boy and cook like nobody business.

Yeah, well, I always heard there were three kinds of suns in Kansas: sunshine, sunflowers, and sons-of-bitches.
