Which frogs do yall like?
I struggle to "walk" the ones I've got. So, I'd prefer one that walks easy. Also want it to skip easy.

I've thrown a spro popping frog a little this week but only one taker. They just aren't on topwater yet for me.

There’s a video of Seth Feider fishing a terminator frog on wired2fish. It’s a pretty good looking frog.

SPRO has a frog in its Bronzeye series with a semi-cup face and vertical rear legs.

I've been throwing it for a few weeks trying to get the hang of walking it. I haven't been using the right rod and line, but have gotten it to walk a few times. It's designed for open water instead of slop, so you don't have to have a broomstick and braid.

Unless there's vegetation that would foul hooks, I don't throw a frog to walk it. I'd rather throw a Spook or Sammy. If there's sparse vegetation I'll just work the frog with short hops and sputters.

A 7’ rod in medium heavy action with 30-50 lb braid and a spro popping frog is the easiest for me to walk. I don’t use this setup in slop but more moderate cover. It’s just a little more weed less than a spook or pop r. Think scattered bank grass. The action is a little slack in the line and a sharp jerk down with the rod. It really skips well btw.

In the slop use more beefy gear and don’t worry about walking it. That’s something more of a pull and shake. Completely different cover and time of year for me.

7’6” rod with 50-65 lb braid
