chevydude2015 OP 4 point Joined: Sep 2016 Posts: 729 Alabama	Had around 3 or 4 gobblers hammering this morning but they were on the neighbors property. Since they were gobbling on their own how can I tell if they are hearing my calls and responding to them or just gobbling like they have been? Their was a time or 2 when I got "cut off" by the gobbler but I wasn't sure if it was just bad timing or if he could hear me calling. I am using a box call

Mbrock Fancy Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 8,086 Right behind you	Gobblers can hear you calling that are out of your range of hearing. They know where you are. Just don’t overcall. Even if they don’t gobble at you or cut you off, they know. They’ll slip in to check you out unannounced too.

They can hear 10X what we can. Remember this when yer sneaking up close to a roosted bird, you may spook him enough that he won't go to where he heard something walking in the dark. I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted..... proud Cracker-Americaan muslims are like coyotes, only good one is a dead one
