One spot me and Travis fished every early May would really produce for us on days like this. One day I bet we caught 25lbs by 8am. Swimbaits and my bbz-1 spro rat flat messed them up. Post spawn just not sure how late in post spawn. We have caught crappie some years in early may in 4'-6' water and other years in 20' water. Shellcracker/bluegill bite may be pretty hot at that time.
