Is there some trick I haven’t figured out or is it impossible to get the crimp as pretty as the ones on my 20 gauge loads? I loaded some and just can’t get them to look perfect. I sent Hal some pictures of it and he said it was fine but was just wondering if anyone else can get them as good as the 20 gauge?

Those small hulls are just tough to get a good crimp on. Just go slow and let the crimp bit get real warm.

1) Go EASY on the downward pressure, and then let up a bit more....

2) A swab of WD40 around the upper outside edge of the hull is a very nice touch to improve aesthetics

3) use a Precision or GAEP crimp die....

Are you trimming any hull off Shaun? Reckon you’re folding too much over?

Use a gaep crimper. I had the same problem until I switched to a gaep. Now they look better than factory

I need to try that, it is a lot more to crimp than the 20 gauge
