It'll be nice to get back into property improvement mode. Got plenty of stuff to do and not enough time do it, as always. Am glad to see we've got a couple of nice deer that made it through, looking forward to getting a couple more cameras out to see what else made it.

Not me. Glad it's over cause it's entirely too long but I only morning hunted one time so rest is no issue.

This is only a sad time for folks who don't fish or bowhunt. I hit the ground running HARD in mid October, by Christmas I was thoroughly burned out, and January starts the best fishing of the year. grin

I'd hunt the whole year if they let me.

I always feel a little sadness when a season closes. The rituals are missed. No checking the forecast and wind direction. Cussing myself for only having 1 spot that works on an East wind.
At the same time, I look forward to the next season. Was checking traps this morning and will keep tabs on the turkeys. Maybe will find some time for fishing. For sure will be fooling with my Labradors as the days lengthen. It is the same sadness that I feel when I view a sunset. One day is ending but a new tomorrow is only a nights sleep away.

Just booked two deep sea fishing trips for this summer if that tells you anything. Bring on the heat and sun.

This week is the best week for deer hunting, for sure.

I want a redo of October. With better weather. The last few years have been way too hot the first few weeks of bow season.
