Anybody know what the minimum amount of money a salaried employee can earn? There's been some confusion around my parts about the minimum salaried wage going up from $455 a week to $635 a week. Can anyone clarify?

I lost $10,000 the first year I went from wage to salary. But I have no idea what the minimum amount would be.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

As long as it’s above minimum wage there isn’t one I know of.

The issue is with overtime. I think the new salary is around $35,000. If you make less than that, you're obligated to give overtime beyond 40hrs a week. This is what my HR dept said last year. We have to change some people from salary to hourly.

We just went through this. Final determination is as long as the job could be classified as a supervisory role, the amount of pay isn’t an issue

Given the option, I would recommend staying in the wage an hour role. Especially if you are in a position to get lots of overtime. Much smaller headaches and bigger paychecks.
