Thought about taking a trip this weekend to find a little snow for the kids (and the grownups).
What would be a good trip? Closest snow?

Everything woke turns to shucks

Mentone, AL when it gets cold enough. It's just not cold enough for them to make snow right now. Dont know when it will be either.

North Dakota. Minnesota. Probably the nearest you'll find.

I walked outside this morning to short-sleeve weather. I'm not sure you're going to be able to find any within a reasonable distance of here.

Ober Gatlinburg makes snow, as well, when it's cold enough....you can probably call or go on their website/facebook page to find out if they're making snow right now

There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:

1. All Politicians Are Liars
2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement
3. Taxation Is Theft

I watch for snow all the time. I mainly watch the Helen Ga. area. It's closer than Gatlinburg and I can get a cabin in Unicoi state park for 100,00 a night. Plus they have a lodge to eat at if you want too and several hill areas for sledding/tubing. Went there 2 years ago and it snowed 8-9 inches. It was a blast. I'm hoping it does it again there soon but it's not looking good. Yesterday it was almost like a blizzard in Jackson hole wy. You can go to Obergatlinburg.com and look at the snow area webcam. It seems to be hotter than normal up there and the snow making is not going well. Unless you can see where it is going to get below 35 up there so they can make snow overnight. Also go to resortcams.com. Here you can look at the mountain cams in TN, GA, Va, WVA, NC etc and see what is going on.I look at all of these daily.

Are you serious? Gas up the truck, you've got 600+ miles to drive.

I’d fly in to Duluth Minnesota and road trip around Lake Superior to the UP of Michigan and fly out of Marquette
