A week and a half ago, I took my boys camping. They wanted to do some exploring and we ended up walking a creek. About half way up, I slipped and busted my butt, literally.

It’s not the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced by a long shot, but dang it’s as aggravating as anything I’ve ever dealt with.

Anybody ever dealt with this?

Sounds like a pain in the ass

Paging perchjerker

I didn’t want to be a smart ass, I had to....

I’ve slid in wet rocks in the mountains while turkey hunting a few times. Once slipped and fell backwards while my gun was in my back. Pinched me up good. Hope you feel better soon.

I hit my tailbone white water rafting one time. We were free floating down a small rapid and my big butt was too low in the water. Didn't think much about it at the time but new it was a very hard hit. Started bothering me about a week later. Finally went to Dr. and had xray. Broke my darn tailbone, nothing Dr could do. Sat on a dang donut cushion for several months. Seems it took about a year for it to get right. Good luck and hopefully you just bruised it.

The power ban on a 2 stroke dirt bike can and will pile drive you into the ground. In my case it was asphalt. I feel your pain and hope to never have to deal with that again. Like you said the pain itself was not bad but very inconvenient to most daily activities.

Sitting doesn’t bother me as trying to sleep, and dang boy if you sneeze... now it does hurt then

Speaking of slipping in the creek and getting hurt, I sit here this morning typing with one hand .Yesterday I was burning a pile of logs about five feet away from the creek, l was at the edge of the creek throwing back on a couple logs that had rolled off. I slipped in the mud and fell forward catching myself with my left hand in the hot bed of coals . You never have seen a big boy get up so fast and dive into a cold muddy creek to get some relief. Had to spend three hours in a busy ER. My hand burned for three hours . Keeping it in a cool ziplock bag of water would give me relief. About 75% of my palm was burned.

This. There just isn't much you can do for it.

When I was about 13 riding tandem on a 3 wheeler my buddy driving was slowly going across a tree that had fallen across the trail . When the back end hopped over it bounced me off the seat and my tailbone came down on the back racks bar. Instant pain. It took about 2 years before it finally quit hurting in certain sitting positions.

I broke my tailbone several years ago. It wasn't anything exciting or noble whatsoever. I was laying in a hammock and my little brother cut the rope.
I landed my ass on a big rock. Couldn't walk, sit, lay or stand without horrible pain for several months.

There may not be anything a doctor can do for you- but it might be worth a visit, just to make sure.

When you were able, did you give him a butt whipping that he didn’t soon forget ?

My wife broke hers delivering my son. Sounded like a .22 going off.
