I’m ready to throw this POS in the damn river. It is the most unreliable autoloader I have ever owned. Runs like a damn sewing machine for 8 or 10 shots then might jam twice in a row with the exact same shells. No rhyme or reason whatsoever. Happens with all kinds of different loads and always seemingly at the most inopportune times. What the hell is wrong with this thing? Or me? Frustrated bad with it. I bought it new and it has had maybe a couple cases total put through it (some dove loads and some 3” duck loads). I’m about ready to go back to a damn Beretta or an 870 where I belong.

Spring guns get dirty from all this crappy powder in shells these days. My son has a new montifeltro and it started jamming. He took the trigger group out and cleaned even the stock return spring. Good to go be did it again. He is now looking at replacing springs too or getting shed of it. I have never liked spring guns.

This. How old is it. Have you ever took the recoil spring out of the stock? Keep having trouble with mine after. 1000 rounds or so. I read on shotgunworld.com about it and seem to discribe my issue. Ordered the wolf recoil +25% spring and haven’t looked back. When I took the spring out. It was nasty so clean the tube the spring was in and also clean the magazine tube real good. I use that blaster stuff it’s like brake cleaner to start out with. Then use CLP and it will usually leave just enough oil.

Yes, break it completely down. Take the stock off (should be a 13mm nut). Slide your bolt back in and put the base of the spring casing that was in the stock in a jar or a small container. Slightly depress bolt and spray gun scrubber into spring. There is a bottom hole that will drain. Do this until it runs clean and then leave it propped up to drain for a few days before you reassemble it.
