Well had my first experience with what I assume is road poachers this week. Tuesday morning my dad and I were hunting our families private property and at 6:40 we heard 4 shots within the span of a minute coming from around the road/entrance to our property, very close. When we got down we drove around that morning on our property but didn’t see anything. Got out there this afternoon and had multiple buzzards flying by the road/front field entrance to our property and sure enough there was a dead 9 pt. Probably 150 yards from the road. Based on the blood trail looks like he was shot in a cut cornfield you can see from the road and ran roughly 100 yards and died across a tree line. Hate to see it, huge bodied buck one I had seen but didn’t have a shot on him a few weeks ago.

U can call the non emergency number to your local 911 and they can get in contact with state has a 800 number for poacher reporting and you can look online and find the number for the district office

Bunch of lowlifes out that way. They never actually go hunting only road hunting and usually at night.

I’m in the Toney area just north of Huntsville. You are correct unfortunately, a bunch of them out this way. I can’t stand them. Fortunate enough to have some good family property in the area, that has been in the family for years. Sucks when you try to manage it and do things the right way and BS like that happens

Got in touch with one of the wardens and gave him some information. Said they’ll increase patrolling the area because they’ve had issues near here before.

They're not hunting at all. They are thieves, they are reckless, irresponsible, dangerous criminals. They need to be dealt with harshly and swiftly.

It would be sweet to set up a decoy deer at night and be ready when the poachers started shooting. Shoot their damn vehicle full of holes and that schit would stop real quick.
