Anybody interested in buying a grass raised/grass finished beef? I have 2 Angus steers that will be ready to slaughter in late April. First time I've tried raising any grass fed beef, but feel like I've done enough homework to do it right. I am going to sell one of them. Slaughter weight should be around 1500 lbs, but could be heavier. They are very large framed cattle and I'm not killing them until they have a decent amount of finish on them.
I will sell it cheaper than you'll ever buy any grass fed beef. Just gonna try to recoup some of the cost involved, not trying to pay for mine with yours. Price will be based off live weight. Understand that you're going to get 61-63% of live weight for hanging weight, then 67-68% of hanging weight to packaged weight. I'm estimating there will be 625-650 lbs of packaged meat. Animals will be slaughtered and packaged at Brickyard in Cullman. They're the best around IMO.
Only interested in splitting in half or whole.
I haven't yet decided how much per pound. The national average that I saw today was around $3.50 per live pound but I will sell it a good bit cheaper than that.

I’ve had these 3 replies and one PM about it. The PM was received at 10:51 PM so I’ll go down the list of the 3 posts first. Nomercy and Klay get first shot at halves, then bdw32, then the PM

Does their halves include tongue? I don't see why it wouldn't. I'm going to keep the long bones for bone broth, liver, tongue and everything edible that I can.
