I had a spot on a place i used to hunt where i killed 2 good bucks that was 2.5 miles from the truck. It’s rare that I’m not close to a mile in on most morning hunts. Evening hunts i try to stay within a half mile. I drug a doe .65 miles as the crow flies the other morning to keep from dragging her a mile back up and over a mountain. I had my wife come pick me up to take me back to my truck. When my wife picked me up, my step counter on my phone said i had walked 3.2 miles and climbed 55 flights of stairs. Yeah c�mon. It's a pretty easy walk other than having to wade a river. It's hard for me to go that far on Skyline. The hills get to me a whole lot faster than walking that flat ground.
