Must be nice for some of y’all. Most of my walks are at least a half mile but i mostly hunt public land. I had a spot on a place i used to hunt where i killed 2 good bucks that was 2.5 miles from the truck. It’s rare that I’m not close to a mile in on most morning hunts. Evening hunts i try to stay within a half mile. I drug a doe .65 miles as the crow flies the other morning to keep from dragging her a mile back up and over a mountain. I had my wife come pick me up to take me back to my truck. When my wife picked me up, my step counter on my phone said i had walked 3.2 miles and climbed 55 flights of stairs.

Shortest walk I have had this year so far is around 900 yards. Farthest has been 1.5 miles. Gotta love public land.

Depends if I have a stand on my back or not. It’s amazing how much heavier they are at age 53 than at age 23! Them hills are steeper too!

Used to be 200 to 300 yds ,,,,,, but when my nephews started hunting they were so afraid I was spooking deer,, to keep them from moaning about it I'd park so far away from the stands my 200 to 300 yds walks turned into 1/2 to 3/4 mile hikes.

How do you like that Diamondback bed cover? I have one on my Tacoma and love it.

Oh, and usually less than a half mile, but I have parked right under the stand like in the pic.

I've got 2 spots I hunt in Missouri, one is a hair over 2 miles, the other is 1.71 miles according to OnX. It's a pretty easy walk other than having to wade a river. It's hard for me to go that far on Skyline. The hills get to me a whole lot faster than walking that flat ground.
