I've heard the BRCC stuff is good, and I'd like to try it, but it's expensive.

I've had my Keurig for several years and have never had any mold or bugs in it. The only thing Ive ever gotten out of it was a good cup of coffee. When it tells you to change the filter and to descale it you do it...just a part of proper maintenance as any machine would require

Agree on both counts. I've had my Keurig for 6 years now and love it. Can't beat it for what I need in a coffee machine. Five days a week I use it for one cup on the way out the door for work.
On most w'ends I'll have two cups a day. Only recently did I start using the adapter that allows you to use ground coffee in it. IMO that makes for a better cup of coffee, but can be a bit messy. If using pods, I think you'll be hard pressed to find anything better than Laughing Man Colombia Hulia. Their Ethiopia Sidama is good for a light roast.

That's entirely too much to pay per cup. Doesn't take much shopping around to get a much better deal. (Think somewhere around .28 cents to .32 cents a cup)

K cups run 30-63 cents apiece on Amazon usually. I like the convenience and if you try a few, you can find some decent coffee. I'm not a coffee snob for sure. As long as its hot and black, I'm good. Never had an issue with it not being clean. Have had one for years.

Are we the only ones who drink Community? I’m surprised at the amount of responses and no other Community drinkers. Folgers I ok, and will do in a pinch but Community Breakfast Blend is mainly what we drink offshore.

Looks like I was late to the party. I see more community responses now.

Every time I've tried descaling one it's clogged it up and won't work any longer. We still have one though for convenience sake. It by no means makes the best coffee. When I have time I still bust out our old percolator to make a pot of coffee, my favorite way to make it.

I guess. By the time I get Folgers to a point where that “bite” is tolerable I have the sugar content of pudding.... I pour a gulp of milk in the breakfast blend and roll on.

If you like the convenience that is fine but if you really drink coffee like I do.... at 4-5 cups a day @ 50 cents I've spent $2 minium.

For $5 I can get a 12oz bag of ground coffee that tastes a whole lot better and make a hole pot every day for a week.

The more you drink the more money you save. The economics of it aren't up for argument.

The taste is. I say it tastes bad and I've tried about everything they make including all the Alterra packets which is same concept... but even more nasty.
