Not sure if it was a prank or someone was running short on time to get to class and this was going to be dinner. Visiting Mississippi State Monday, and had to stop and take a picture, as this was at a full parking lot. God Bless, David B.

You're telling me things but your girlfriend lied. You can't catch me 'cause the rabbit done died. Yes it did.
Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.
Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.
Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

Maybe they hit it on the way to class. I figured they hit it on the way to class, stopped, picked it up and put it on a buddies truck as a joke. God Bless, David B.

I'll keep my mouth shut about many of the things I saw while in college. One thing I will tell though since it is rabbit related is I was walking from Haley Center to Parker Hall for a math class one day, which back in those days took you by the Eagle's cage. As I was walking I saw a big crowd of people headed towards the cage. The one in the front was carrying a pet taxi. Now I had no idea what was going on but quickly decided it would be infinitely more interesting than Calculus, which may explain why I changed my major from Pre-vet to Criminal Justice. So the man with the carrier goes into the cage with another man holding a stop watch. The Eagle was perched on a ledge about 12' or so off the ground. The one man opens the cage and the other starts the stopwatch. Little bunny FooFoo hops out of the carrier and starts nibbling on the luscious green grass a few feet from his ride. The Eagle eyes him for about 10 seconds and then swoops and of all things misses. The rabbit takes off and the eagle starts flapping his wings and gives ground chase. He soon caught Bunny FooFoo and latched on. FooFoo was squalling like only a wounded rabbit can. If you've never heard this, it is amazing and there is a reason it will draw coyotes and bobcats from afar. Anyways, after a few seconds, enough for some of the females that gathered also to start crying, the eagle reaches down to the bunny's neck with his beak and in one swift move, bunny FooFoo is still and silent. The man stopped the stopwatch. Now obviously they needed to work on the Eagle's attack skills before he was ready to release back into the wild, but his killing skills were certainly impressive.
By the way, with the Iron Bowl coming up and with a new eagle flying over the field on Saturday, I'll explain to anyone wondering about it. I had a friend not long ago tell me she thought it was cruel to keep an eagle just to do that. I then explained the truth to her. Auburn has a fantastic raptor rehab facility for injured birds of prey. Many of them are eventually released back into the wild if they can be and still live. Many can't be released and still live and are given to zoos or other places where they can live out their lives in captivity. A lucky few are eagles and not deemed viable to release into the wild and are trained and eventually become Auburn's next War Eagle. when I explained this to my friend she changed her opinion and now thinks the Eagle's flight is one of the coolest things around.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
