I have spent a lot of time recuperating over the years, it sucks, but it is what it is. Hang in there and do what you are told to do, and a little more. Good luck, a little time and it will be a breeze.

Prayers for healing and recovery sent over the months since the incident. Hope you're mending well.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Eddie, I hope you get well soon. To prevent this from happening to anyone else, this is how to properly take one down safely. Buy two 14ft ratchet straps. When installing the stand, hook the ratchet strap on both sides of the seat. stand the ladderstand up. run the ratchet straps around the tree and connect to the rungs of the ladder and ratchet them down tight. The straps should be like an "X" behind the tree. Attach the kicker and now it is safe to climb the ladder and attached it to the tree. Solid as a rock. Once installed. The straps can be removed to use on other stands. To take the ladderstand down. Climb the ladder, attach the straps just like you did before, run them like an "X" behind the tree and attach to the rungs of the ladder. Ratchet the straps down tight. Now you can safely climb the tree and remove the chain or ratchet straps that secure the stand to the tree. Once you've done that, climb down. Now you can remove the kicker and the ratchet straps that crisscross behind the tree. Take down the ladder. I've taken down 17' ladderstands by myself using this method and its solid as a rock. Get well soon Eddie. Every ladderstand I have put up in the last 15-20 years comes with two straps for just that purpose. If you tie them off wrap around the back of the tree then tie off to ladder with the brace bar in place they are usually pretty solid even before you strap them to the tree. I know some folks don't us them, that however is just plain stupid. Good Ideas!

As the man says, it is the only ladder stand on the market that is fully secure from the ground before you climb it. Having put two of them up, I can agree with him.
