There used to be a Popeye's buffet in Huntsville that was one of 3 left in the country or something like that. It was one of my top 5 places to eat in town. Yep. Fellow that ran it was told by corporate to take out the buffet or close it so he closed up as Pop Eyes and opened as Sweet Peas. same food, different name. Think its closed now but he opened another in the old Captin D's in the medical district.

I like Popeye's spicy chicken and their sides. My problem is our local Popeye's is well known for it's horrendous customer service. Bad enough that I quit going there. I can just go across the street and get some KFC, which is owned by a good guy and he always stresses customer service and quality.
For all of the above, I have not tried their sandwich. It must be good though because the Popeyes I go past in Montgomery stays busy at lunch time. The drive thru was backed up into Vaughn Rd. last week.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I like their food but usually the stores are all in the hood , filthy and horribly staffed. if they sold their frozen biscuits and tenders in stores id keep stocked up on them.

Popeyes onion rings are good. But I got the Chicken Shack a mile from my house.
