Yep mine too. Didn't realize how big of a regret this was until I got older. Now I wish I had stepped up.

Same here. I am so very blessed to work in a industry that I serve the war fighter directly.

Mine too. I was very fortunate to get the privilege of going to college right out of high school.

My dad was U. S. Army retired with 25 years. Served, and was wounded twice in WW II. Served in Korea, where he grew to hate cold weather. My dad loved to hunt, but hated the weather during most hunting seasons. He never quite got over his life in the military. He tried to raise my two older brothers and older sister & I as if we were automatically inducted into the service at birth. At times, families pay a price well after the head of house leaves the military.
My hats off to all that served and helped the make this the greatest nation in the world. May we stay that way!!!

Huge regret for me

One of my biggest regrets, envy those who have served and respect them also LEO and first responders ,my wife was a marine does that count Haha

Very big regret for me as well. I can still remember talking to a Marine recruiter, when I was approaching high school graduation. I had talked to him a few times. I remember the conversation, exactly, when I told him I decided not to join up. I truly believe my life would have gone a whole different route had I enlisted.

Problem is 3/4 ain’t patriotic, many are Godless uneducated liberal losers and criminals...

And they have the same vote as those of us who shed blood.

I wanna thank all y’all who didn’t serve for working hard, paying tax’s and funding my adventures.

My dad was kinda adamant that my brother and I not join. He was at Ia Drang in Vietnam and saw a lot of good friends die.
He joined. Was not drafted. It broke out after he joined.
He’d get fighting mad, slap the taste out of your mouth, if we talked about joining.

Your welcome Hoggin. Thought about it but went to school instead was good friends with an Army recruiting sgts.daughter she and I scored quite well on the asvab despite my learning disability in mathematics.
