Anyone know what the shelf life of unopened bag of rice bran is? Does it go bad?

Speaking of rice bran I just got a bag of the peanut butter flavor to try after I had been feeding plain. Should it have a berry flavored smell? I know theres a berry flavor but my bag clearly says peanut butter. Just curious on the smell.
