Had a knock him out John experience with a coon in a loc on last year with a arrow didn't see a deer that morning YUP! this has been a few years -- but apparently, i was up this one coon's personal tree -- so he climbed the one next to me & starting giving me hell!!! finally, i pointed my .308 right at his chest & let it eat coon -- *BOOOM!!** -- he grabbed his chest with both hands like "OOOH - YA GOT ME!!!" and did a "TIIMMMMBEEEEERRRR" right off the tree to the ground ... when i got down, i grabbed him & took him home; to this day, biggest damn coon i've ever seen -- looked like a mini bear Lol I had a skunk chase me off of a mound by creek last year i was sitting on..it started walking towards me so I stood up and waved at it, then it starts running right at me.. I took off running like a kid seeing a monster..it must have had babies in the mound

Like others I’ve had a hawk try to land on my climber. I was just about to give it to him from 20ft up when he flew off. Had an owl about take my hat off right after dark as I was walking a fire lane out. Probably the worst I’ve ever been spooked was when I walked under a roost of turkeys going to my stand omen morning. Let me tell you, 8-10 turkeys busting off a roost in the pitch black will make you think a swamp booger has gotten you.

The warmest hat I've ever owned was an Elmer Fudd type with fur ear flaps that folded up above my ears. After an owl came after it one morning and about causing me to lose my bowels and jump out of the stand, I decided wearing that hat in a climber wasn't a good idea anymore, no matter how cold it was. He was headed straight for my head but when I saw him at about 10 yards away and threw my hands up, he cut away. I'll never know who got scared more, me or the owl.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I was bow hunting in a lockon when I spotted a large raccoon ambling near my stand. At the same time, a flock of about 15 turkeys spotted the coon and attacked him in mass. They pecked the crap out of him and the gobblers in the flock spurred him pretty good. They chased him for about 5 minutes until he found a big dead tree with a hollow that he climbed into for refuge. I figure the turkeys knew the coon raided their nests in the spring, and this was their revenge.

Years ago when I used climbing stands I had an owl to light on a limb right behind my head and it let out a scream. The only thing that saved was my safety harness. I actually was jumping out when the harness caught me and snagged me back to the seat

does this make the price of a paid hunt on your property go down? We are thinking of marketing this event to the bird watching community and possibly diversifying our client base. As demand goes up the prices will reflect this. Its best to strike while the iron is hot and reserve your hunt as soon as possible. thank you for your interest.

I was in a climbing stand years ago really early, well before sunrise. After I had been there about 30 minutes I hear this scratching noise. After a few seconds it stops. Everything gets quiet again. Then as the sun starts coming up I see what was making the noise. A bobcat had climbed the tree to my left and was asleep on a limb about my height (20 feet or so) and about 12-15 feet away. All I could do was think what if it had climbed my tree. In the immortal words of Jerry Clower " "Just shoot up here amongst us, one of us has got to have some relief."
I love my country, but don't trust my government.

Modesty prevents telling all. 180 grain round nose corelokts outta a 30/06 is good medicine.
Only hits count.
