I’m not much of a game cam fan. I think all you do is educate mature deer. That said I don’t hunt much behind my house and I’m curious what’s back there. I’m in the market for a cheap game cam.

Wal mart Tasco for $28.88 and for a couple bucks they extend the warranty to 2 years. Pics are a little grainy, but good enough to tell what's in them. Every time a cam goes down, I'm replacing it with one of them. I'm up to seven now and so far, I've only had one fail. I took it back to WM and walked out with a new one. No sending it off and waiting a month.
May the sound of hounds never die!

In the past I haven't been much of a fan of Tasco anything. But in the last few years and after replacing a few of the other brands due to theft, high water, loggers, etc., I am becoming a fan of the little Tasco 28 dollar cameras. I still have a few of the other brands but more and more of my non cell cameras are becoming Tascos. If the creek floods, I'm out about 40 bucks after tax and a card. If someone steals one, I'm out about 40 bucks. If one tears up, I'm out about 40 bucks. If something happens to one of my Cuddeback, Browning, Spy-point, or Bushnell cameras, I'm out a lot more. I have a feeling that the next several that I buy will be Tasco too.
I guess I'm just cheap like that.

Another vote for the Tasco from Walmart

Moultrie has a new cell cam that's about $125 Where can you get it for that price? Id like to have one. I was in the bass pro in Orlando last Tuesday and they had them on sale for $154 with a $50 rebate ($104 after rebate). The new sale paper I have fro. Them says $179 with the rebate. No idea if it's just that location or not. The only ones they had left were AT&T ones or I would have been very tempted. I get great service from Verizon at my place in Al, but have no clue how At&t does.

I haven't had any problems with the last couple Primos cameras I have used but the ones before these all died. I just look at the situation as if I am going to buy a cheapo camera I can't expect it to last for 5 years. They are a throw away item to me. Get a cheap one and chunk it when it starts acting up or trade it in on a new one at Bass Pro when they have camera trade in offers.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

I have about 15 Browning cameras and hate to say that slowly they are fading out just like all of the moultrie cameras I once had. The Browning’s started off strong but are all fading. They are 3 years old at the latest. I to have tried the Walmart Tasco. It is very basic and essentially has no read outor display. But they do work well and like it was said, they are disposable. I have tried them all. They have all failed me.
