Evidently not. Not sure why I would want to leave my house to hang out in a cave?

You're joking i assume

Make chair rail out of 2X rough cut about 4" wide, with 1X rough cut board and batten below it. Sheet rock above it , painted light grey. Old school metal tile ceiling like used to be in old buildings. Wood look vinyl plank flooring. I've seen one done this way and it was sharp and didn't break the bank.

I have a buddy that can mill you some of this ship lap on his saw mill. This is what we have throughout the cabin...

[Linked Image]

The best part about the shiplap, is that you don't need to finish it or paint it if you don't want to. We left ours bare wood and figured we can always stain it, seal it, or paint it later if we wanted to...

This. I am doing my 30 x 40 shop in faux barn wood. I bought 4x8 sheets of 3/8 plywood. Stained the sheets in 4-5 different colors then ripped the sheets into 4" x 8' strips. Saved a ton of money vs buying "barn wood" siding.

Thanks yall. I used a small lumber mill here to cut the wood. Everything was blue pine. The bar top is cypress and sealed with epoxy. It was a lot of work to do by myself but everything turned out real nice in my opinion.
