Yes sir. Looks as though they may have scanned DL to get the photos My DL was just renewed in March so it is a pretty recent photo. That is what many of them do. Just capture the DL photo and go from there.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Tuscaloosa has included a photo at least since 2006 (when I first got a CC permit).

Here in Madison county, you have the option to get a paper copy, without photo, for $10 a year ($50 for 5 years), or you can get a hard-copy with a photo, like a driver's license, for $20 a year ($100 for 5 years)

Here's a thought. Use that as your gov't issued photo ID when you go to vote. See if it makes a liberal head explode. Funny story (more "SMH" funny than "haha" funny)........several years ago I went in the 10th Ave Package Store in Tuscaloosa, right by campus (when it was over near the old 15th St Diner, before that was all torn down for apartments) on a Sat morning before a football game to get some bourbon. Go to check out and the guy asks for my ID (I was maybe 22 or 23). I hand him my driver's license, he studies it for a few seconds. He then stares at me for a second and says "I'm gonna need to see another form of ID." I should have questioned that, but I didn't and handed him my CC permit. He looks at it and then looks back and me and says "Do you have a gun on you right now?" I told him "well, that's not really any of your damn business, but no, I don't." He rang me up and as I'm walking out the door he hollers "Hey!" I turned around and he says "Don't bring that sh!t in here no more, you understand me?" I told him it wouldn't be a problem b/c I wouldn't darken their door again.

I get the 5yr no picture then laminate it at staples or library. We have to go in person to courthouse to fill out application. The online app has not worked for the last 7yrs for me and wife. Using diff computers and all. Still no worky.

I've had a Tuscaloosa county permit since I moved down here in 2000.
I've had the same photo on my permit since that first one was taken in 2000.
When I renew, I just mail in the renewal and get a new permit by mail.
Needless to say, I look quite different 19 years later.
Jefferson county doesn't put a photo on theirs.

Would be nice if they could just incorporate it onto the drivers license just like the do a motorcycle, vessel, or CDL endorsement. Be one less thing to keep up with and wed always know when to renew it.

Y'all keep in mind, other states (Ohio) you have to do 8 hours for your CCW Permit, most of which is class time going over all the various regulations they have bolted onto the 2nd Amendment, there is a little range time (two hours) and it's not cheap to take the course, $150 I think...this was several years ago...you don't learn much about how to shoot if you are a novice, that's another course.

The 5 year permit in Marshall County is plastic and the gal working the desk took my pic for the permit.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

We renewed back in December in Covington County and were issued plastic ones instead of paper (which I prefer) and they did take a picture then. We only renewed for a year, so we will have to go back again this year and plan to renew for five this time.
