I setup my CuddeLink cameras yesterday. I got the my Duel Cell unit (home) last week just to make sure it had reception and it worked fine. I order 4 remote units this week and got them programed with locations. Everything I read said I would get about 400 yards between the cameras. The best I got was 300 yards on 1 camera and 200 yards on the other 3 and all cameras were sending pictures. The reception level between camera can be no lower the 20% and yesterday the lowest I had was 28% but on my report this morning I had 1 down to 8% in the middle of the chain. I was disappointed in the distance between cameras but the were easy to setup. I'll add more cameras before hunting season and hope to get up to 12 units.

Your range will increase a good bit in the Fall and Winter too once leaves drop. It made a big difference on mine from last Fall to Summer.

I setup my Cuddelink system on Friday. I’m running 5 remote cams with the home unit...So far, so good!! I’m planning to buy the $25 D battery booster pack to convert my remote cams to D batteries. Then, buy the solar panel for my home unit

What kind of distance are you averaging between cams?

I intentionally placed my home unit on the highest ridge of our farm (nearly in the middle of the farm too). All of my remote cameras are 500-750 yards from the home unit...At setup, I had good signal displayed on every camera, except one. This one that showed poor signal is the closest to the home unit, but it is in a low bottom along a creek. So far, it’s still working fine, even though it showed poor signal

This is what I did. I think I had one last year out too 500 yards.

I noticed Midway USA has the Cuddelink starter kit (home cellular + 3 cams) for $750. How much are you paying for individual cameras to add to system?

I got the home unit K-series from Basspro for $200. I ordered a 4 pack of J-series remotes from Amazon for $650.

I've always bought the 4 packs. Seems to be the cheapest option
