Cut that sumbetches head off Robert. That bastard can still bite. I did about 30 seconds after I took those pics bud. It had been dead in the back of the truck for about two hours riding around the hunting club.
Yeah, well, I always heard there were three kinds of suns in Kansas: sunshine, sunflowers, and sons-of-bitches.

It had been dead in the back of the truck for about two hours riding around the hunting club. we killed a timber rattler in coosa county before we went hunting in early january cut its head off and threw it in the truck nearly 3 hours later we stopped by a buddies house and was gonna screw with him because he cant stand snakes my hunting partner reached in the bed to grab the snake and it struck at him headless after that much time had past he about pissed his pants it scared him so much. that said please cut the head off ASAP after killing it you never know
