Bought a helix 7 mega and put lakemaster card in it. Can’t get lake list to show up?
Any obvious things I’m overlooking. Directions say it should install on its own?

Lake list? I have never seen a lake list on my unit I just zoom it in to the area I want to see?

Push card in and out a few times and the maps should load

When I push it in and out screen blinks but map stays the same. I know nothing about these things but don’t think map card is loading. Unit is new and card is new.

Do you have the boat in a garage or outside? If the gos cant read it may not show you the lakes. Can you scroll to the lakes even though they dont show any contour currently?

Make sure it is not in demo mode.

I forget where it's at - I think maybe under the "map" tab - but you have to select the lake you want from the list.

If you are on a lake when you power it up, it defaults to that lake.

Like ben said, if it can't see the sky, it won't know where it is, but you should still be able the scroll through the list of lakes on the card

Mine just boots up to whatever lake the boat is at.

The map should look completely different if it’s the lakemaster map compared to the base map that’s loaded on the unit. If it doesn’t look different then it’s not picking the map card up

i have to swap my lowrance over to the card from the base map reading

I had to update my Helix before it would work for me. May try that if not already.

Got it to boot up finally. Just a little glitch I guess.
