So I tried to sit down and watch some regular tv. I turned it on, and I saw commercials, so I flipped the channel and saw more commercials, so I flipped the channel again and saw more commercials. So I hit the Netflix button and the Amazon Button and watched a show. I'm not sure why the regular tv thing even exist anymore? I guess they got a lease to fulfill or something.

Same here. I’m not really sure why I’m still paying for it.

I watch a few PBS shows like Secrets of the Dead. Then local news. That is all I watch on regular TV.

Same here. I can't stand regular TV anymore. I get my local news from the wbrc 6 app. Not time for the live news? Doesn't matter, watch the most recent anytime I want.

I dropped Dish and now have a combination of Youtube TV, Amazon, and Netflix. Even with all three of those I am stll paying at least a hundred dollars less a month.

What do you watch live sports on for those who have changed from cable?

I dropped my direct tv a couple weeks back and haven’t even noticed it. We already have netflix and amazon. I plan to get Hulu or YouTube tv for football season

It looks like Hulu and YouTube tv are the best options from what I’ve researched. They’ll offer all the local channels, the espn channels, fox sports channels, sec network and etc. realistically looks like I wouldn’t miss any games that I would have normally been able to watch with Dtv.

It'd be a good time to short sum cable tv on the market...hell maybe even satellite..for the long term anyway

I record anything I want to watch, then FF the commercials.
I only regret that I can't kick the ass of the people airing the commercials.

My tv goes weeks at a time without getting turned on. Who’s got time for it?

If there is a show on regular TV that I'm interested in watching, I DVR it and start it 20 minutes/hour or more later for the sole purpose of being able to fast forward through the commercials.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

We recently got a roku device and cut the cord. We were paying dish $150/ month and didn’t watch it much. We now have sling tv and several other things I cannot remember for $55/month. All the channels we watched we now have for $100/month cheaper. Oh we have ESPN channels also. As long as you have enternet service it is good. You don’t loose signal in a storm like with satellite either. I don’t regret the switch one bit.

Smithsonian, History, Scyfy, NG are the best to watch. The rest are brain mush.

A bunch of people use the term "cut the cord". When you cut the cord and get rid of cable what type of internet service provider are you using to stream all of these applications? Is it some sort satellite based gateway or are you just "cutting the cord" to the TV and keeping the cable modem?
