We went to Top Golf Tues. My 17yr old stepson has been lifting hard for the past year and half & throwing discus. 6'3" 215lbs. Last time we went to top golf (~6mos ago) he was able to hit the back net occasionally ~15ft from the bottom. Tues he was pounding them ~5-10ft from the top of the net (no wind).

The back net is 215 from the tee box, and 125ft high (per da interwebs). He was using their golf ball, my old Adams driver. 2nd level (there are 3 level to hit from). He hit golf balls ~3 times/year, when we go to Top Golf.

If he would learn to keep his left foot on the ground and drive through the swing with his right leg he would hit it even further

~50% of them did. I told him to hit with ~90% swing and see what happens. He hit is down the middle ~275ish (guess) with a slight slice. I could never hit less than a full swing with my driver or I couldn't hit it straight. He had no problem. I was surprised.

Some of the longest hitters I’ve ever seen were under 175lb.
Sounds like your boy can smash it.

I had shut tell me the other day that he’d gone yard there, I didn’t know enough about it to be impressed but I did think it would be dangerous for traffic. Seems like they need more netting if their is a chance of knocking one out

Justin Thomas is about 5"8 and weighs less than 170 pounds and averages over 300 yards off the tee. One of the longest hitters for average on PGA.

Yes very impressive. It may also help his distance and accuracy if he would slow down his back swing. It did with me.

The range at top golf is only 220ish yards long.

I assume he means he’s guessing distance when the ball is hitting up the net at 215 yards.
