What kind of shotgun? Hard to tell from the video but kinda looks like one of those H&R pumps.....that's like a $200 shotgun that will jam more than a 1911 trying to shoot hollow points. Maybe just give me the flag and a $100 gift card and call it even. I got several Bibles at home.

Remember when that was normal (gun deals) at a lot of dealerships around here back in the day. We have 2 Winchesters that came from the purchase of new vehicles. One was from an 87 Chevrolet my Stepdad bought, the other was from his 93.

I doubt anyone who can afford a $50,000 truck is stupid enough to buy it just so they can get a $200 shotgun and a flag.

I don't know why I'm even commenting on this thread. They lost me at Car Dealer and Bible. That's 2 things that definitely dont go together.

CHATOM, Ala. (WALA) -- Chatom Ford announced Wednesday it was ending its promotion giving free a gun, Bible, and American flag to customers buying a vehicle.

The dealership posted on Facebook that the Ford Motor Company has asked them to stop running the promotion.

Chatom Ford posted, "We were running a promotion celebrating this country's independence. Ford Motor Company has asked us to stop running the advertisement. They manufacture the products we are franchised to sell, so we are complying with their request. We appreciate everyone's support. All the phone calls and messages were so greatly appreciated. We will fulfill all commitments we made to our customers."

News of the promotion went viral earlier this week when the dealership announced the program in honor of Independence Day.

"It's grown a lot more than we anticipated," said Coby Palmer from Chatom Ford. "It was just something we just threw together."

All I was thinking was if I was in the market for a new vehicle anyway, why not get a gun, Bible and flag. I think we gotta put Ford on the aldeer “temporary trade sanctions” list for wussing out on this. They shoulda took it and run with it at all their rural dealerships.

“Shall not be infringed.” Time to add Ford to the boycott list. That’s how it works, right?
