Just found out the wife needs a car battery for her 2011 Toyota Highlander Limited. Any suggestions on brands or do's/dont's of replacing a vehicles battery? Thanks in advance.

if its the original battery when new get another one 8 years on a battery is great.

It's not original. We bought the car used and it's an AutoZone battery. So can't be too good of a battery life.

Interstate Batteries are about the best.

I like the Optima batteries if they make one in your size/configuration

I look into it. Its a 24F with minimum 585 cranking amps. Will test tomorrow to be sure it's shot but I'm pretty sure.

Sams Duracell platinum AGM. They are rebadged and suppose to be some of the best batteries made.

Autozone. I run blemished interstates in my older stuff.

Consumer Reports did a comparison last year showing very little difference between battery brands.

I run these and never had a problem. Some are 5yr old. Mine have 5yr warranties.

If you have a Costco membership, get an interstate from them.

This, as good as any of them now, besides optima.

I buy $50 refurbs from Dixie Battery in Tuscaloosa and have had good luck with them.

Interstate is top of the line. Deka is a great option.

The Walmart Everstarts are hit or miss. I use to use a lot of them but they are not as reliable as they use to be.

Interstate is not as good as they once were I was a die hard Interstate battery guy and within the last 5 years I have noticed most of the batteries we are changing haven't make it to that 5 year mark. That 5 year mark is my standard where I feel like that is the measure of good battery life. I use to get 7-8 years out of some Interstate Batteries.

Just get one at Wal-Mart I honestly don't think there is a bit of difference in any of them.

Get the best Wal-Mart sells . If you have trouble they are everywhere and open 24 -7.
