by rattlesnake!Marissa Morrison says she was once more afraid of spiders than snakes. Things changed early Monday for the two-year veteran of the Greenville Police Department when she was bitten by a large timber rattler near the Greenville Airport. Morrison is currently recovering in ICU at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery after receiving more than 15 vials of antivenin and spoke about her experience and treatment late Wednesday afternoon.

Wowzer! One blessed lady right there that she was able to get help that quickly. Pray that she makes a full recovery very soon.

Glad she's ok. I like how they did such a great job in the article painting such a pretty picture of how she was in her cool down spot to end her shift.
Any where I ever worked they called it hiding and riding the clock.
One day the right woman will come along and the next thing you know you'll be wearing her underwear!

Any where I ever worked they called it hiding and riding the clock. Police officers if they are not on a call have to find a spot where they can complete their paperwork for the shift. As Supervisors we didn't want them to come in too soon to HQ to work on paperwork. We wanted it done, but we still wanted them in the field to get it done. If a call came in, they would still be expected to answer it. If you let one come in then the whole shift will be at HQ an hour before the end of the shift. even worse is not getting it done on time and making the Supervisor have to stay over. That is almost unforgivable. Police Supervisors can be asshats like that sometimes. I hope the young lady makes a full recovery.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Me thinks that she wasn’t alone when she got bit... Makes sense. It took them two days to get a story together for the news.
