I fished most of the day Friday. Thank goodness I spent first half of day under a bridge. I’ve newly embraced the baldness and cut off the flopover few months ago. I learned a mesh hat offers zero protection. I was sitting in a chair, working on tackle. Daughter walked by and said “Dad, you’ve got a tan line on your head.” It hadn’t hurt a bit. I just say it’s a T for Tony, one of my alter egos. Not gonna quit wearing the mesh cap. Just gonna put a littie sunscreen on the noggin next time.
“Killing tomorrow’s trophies today.”
On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

I can feel my scalp burning when I'm outdoors, and it doesn't take 10 minutes to burn my head when the sun is high and hot. Get used to wearing sunscreen and hats on your melon.

Lol, mine hasn't burned but I have a noticeable tan line on my noggin.

As bad as I hate to admit it, it kinda does look like “thong head.”

I’m about tired of these “trucker hats”. It’s almost more difficult to find a solid hat than one with a mesh. Look it’s us bald people that NEED hats, not people with a full head of hair. We ought to start some victim hashtag I suppose Same here. I have the same hair cut as Ac870😃. Only thing I have found that's not too hot is a straw type hat and lots of sunscreen. Most hots are to hot in the summer or they offer no sun protection. Nothing I have found yet that's exactly what I need.

You need a Tilley hat. They aren't the cheapest but I can assure you they work and keep you cool. My dermatologist was fussing at me one day about not wearing sunblock and having 12 spots cut out so far and when I told her I wear a Tilley she said that is the best hat on the market so I at least got a break there.

Been wanting one for years but wouldn’t drop the ninety bucks. So the family got me one for Father’s Day. If you really think about it ninety dollars is worth it to help keep you from getting skin cancer. I’ve had my face cut on enough.

Guess they've gone up. The last one I bought was $60. I have 3 of them. I hunt with the brown one and wear the light ones when outside working. I rotate them so I can always have one clean and ready to wear. You also can't beat their warranty.

I have a Tilley. That is the hottest hat I have worn in a long time. It does float which is nice. Even though I have a Tilley, when it gets hot, I wear a less than $10 straw hat.
