Can any of you guys offer any advice on a decent combo to buy, and where to buy one around central Alabama? I used to fly fish some growing up in north Georgia and thought about getting another combo to fish on the Cahaba some. I looked at Bass Pro but didnt really want to spend 150.00 if i didnt just have to on a combo that I was not sure was even what i needed.

I bought a ST Croix 6 weight off Amazon for 100 and Okuma reel off amazon for about 40 and it has been a great setup. My dad spends much more than I do on fly setups and my 6 weight rods feel as good as some of his.

It is a cool shop. They do week long classes where you build your own rod. I think that would be even better

Their classes are booked solid through Feb 2020.
