Anybody know a good person to paint my truck. It’s a tundra and has some fading here and there. Not sure if I’ll get the whole thing done or just certain areas. It’s an 11 year old truck so I don’t wanna drop a lot of $ on it. Preferably near bham.

It’ll be expensive if it’s done right. I’d let it fade before I put a cheap paint job on a nice truck.

Hard to believe a 2008 model needs repainting.

With us you’d be looking at $3-3500.00 for the whole truck, same color, plus any body work required. That’ll give you a good idea of what it should cost

Not sure why it’s faded the way it has. It has never been garaged. I went and looked at new trucks and I was a little shocked at how much a new truck costs. It’s a great truck just needs to be dressed up a bit

It is going to be hard to justify what it is going to cost to get a nice (decent) paint job. Most body shop places mainly do insurance work and fewer and fewer even do complete paint jobs anymore. It's because labor and materials are so expensive that few people can justify spending more on a car for paint than the car is worth. Then if you ever decide to sell it, it having been repainted actually decreases the value in some potential buyer's minds.

MAACO, it’s not a showroom quality but it’s also less than $600. We use them to paint all our fleet trucks.

We’ve used them too. I certainly wouldn’t be spending many thousands for a truck worth under $10k and falling.

Yup seems like bodywork falls into a couple of distinct sectors.
Low dollar/MAACO, insurance(largest) and the price isn't a concern being the last and smallest.

I wouldnt let maco paint my bicycle. And i know that guy personnally lol.

Maco is all about cheap crappy work. Dont expect anything good from that place. And a decent paint job will cost 8k or more. I wont buy any vehicle without original paint.

If you don't strip the car down completely its gonna look like crap to anyone that knows cars. I wouldn't dream of painting one unless its torn down.
