Geeb 4 point G Joined: Jan 2015 Posts: 743 Georgia	May not be applicable for south Georgia, but in middle Georgia, this is the best time of year to hunt. I went yesterday morning and had 5 gobbling HARD on a tract where I've heard only a few birds all year. May is my favorite part of the season.

I've hunted my leases in Telfair and Dodge a few times this year and it's been a really bad year for gobbling. I've got birds but they have been quiet , for the most part. I would agree that gobbling has been way down for most of the year; but the last week or so gobbling has really picked up around those counties. A friend just text me pics of a bird he killed in paulding a few minutes ago and he said they gobbled good this morning as well.
