Marsh, since you know the situation, it only makes sense you have anger toward the family for not giving him what he needed. One of the best friends I'll ever have did the same thing nine years ago. I didn't see him like you saw this young man but I did see the aftermath, got there just after the coroner left. I was mad at him for years for putting everything on those of us he left. I was mad at myself for not doing more to help him. I was devastated and still am. This sort of thing leaves a wake that just hangs there. Prayers for our Lord Jesus to comfort you, and the Holy Spirit to conquer this memory. The fact that it bothers you shows that you care, remember that.

Prayers lifted brother. I had a nephew do the same 3 years ago. Left behind 3 small children a wife and his mom and dad, he was an only child.

Praying for you man. I have had 2 pts do the exact same thing through the years and I was the first one to find them that way. It sticks with you. I can only imagine finding a 16 yo

Prayers for you and that family. It is difficult to pray for the parents that are to blame for this. That says a lot about who you are. It will get better.

Sorry that you had to be the one to find him.

Father God,

I thank you for my Brother's service and thank You for the other men and women who serve as protectors of peace. Thank You for his profession of faith, and his acknowledgment of needing You today, through seeking prayers of intervention.

Lord you are our Creator and Maker. We don't always understand the whys or why nots. We claim Your Word upon our Brother, Your child, of Philippians 4:6-7 for him not to be anxious, but Your peace to come upon him in this tragic situation.

Lord, may something good come from this. If the parents don't know You, may this be a reckoning for them. Let Your love conquer this anger my Brother is feeling. Protect His heart, and let Satan not deceive his thoughts with questioning and fabrication.

Let other Brothers and Sisters come into his life for this situation, for comfort, advice, and wisdom.

Thank You for what You have already done, and thank You for what you are going to do.

For it is in the name of Jesus, our Redeemer, we ask and claim these things, Amen!

You're in my prayer

Prayers said for all of you involved. Such a terrible situation. After our community experienced the death of the young girl two weeks ago, I've been reminded of what an enormous job you all have in law enforcement - one that many of us, myself included, could not do. I can only imagine the emotional toll it takes on you seeing things no one should have to. But I sincerely appreciate everything you guys do.

I hate that you ran into that situation man. I'm sure its just part of your job but your human too and have to process things. There's nothing wrong with getting a professional to help you process that. I imagine itd do you some good.
