No, --- and a wild as it seems I have not killed a turkey since I was 13 years old. I have seem the diem quite a few times over the past few years. But when my granddad got to where he couldn't Turkey hunt I kinda lost the passion for it. discovered girls, cars, works. It was really my favorite hunting with him. I have gotten the bug back again and one way or another I''m going to end the 36 year streak. My old Pawpaw was a killer in Talladega County. I remember we would leave the drive way without the lights on and drive for miles before he turned them on because other people would follow him to his spots. He would make big circles just to make sure. But he never lied when someone who ask where he killed a turkey, it was either, "Talladega National Forest," or "Germany Mountains" Which was true.

I got my Lynch Foolproof from David Gaston in 1974 er so, it was worn then from use. I carry it almost every time I go turkey hunting and have killed a truckload go birds with it.

Buddy and me stayed on a gobbler deep down in a hardwood bottom last April, hit him with slates, glass, mouths all morning. He would respond but wouldn't commit. Broke out the ol lynch foolproof and he damn near ran us over on his way to his death.

I do like my old lynch fool proof --- I do like a good mouth call --- I have an old wing bone I made from a hen that lost a fight with a bobcat over 40 years ago --- Love my old old lynch gobbling box too. This question is harder than choosing a wife. At least the wife the Lord dropped in my lap. That wasn't much of a decision, she was the best of the bunch.

I can't find a good mouth call anymore, everyone wants to put this cut in it, or that cut, or make them so thick you might as well have a bite of hamburger in your mouth. I like just a small single reed call that I can fully control for a crisp cluck and an easy, soft yelp.

I'll be different, I'll choose the Lynch gobbling box, I can gobble and use the left side to sound like a hen. If it's raining, I'll take my wingbone.
